the past weekend.

This weekend has been a great one!
Things that have made me happy--
-time spent with my Up girls at Nathaly's farewell. So much fun to see everyone and support her. (no pic on my camera)
-Going to see Amber speak in her ward.
-No school on a Monday :) Thanks MLK Jr., for doing good things and Happy Birthday!
-Lunch with Caitlin and Amber. Cait leaves on her mission three weeks from tomorrow! Crazy!
-Beautiful sunsets. I needed better timing with the photo, and I wish it wasn't so blurry! I love sunsets and I loved the pink/purple/blue hues of this one (except when I caught the pic, there was a lot of yellow). Lately, there's been more of a warm hue with pinks/reds/oranges in sunsets around here.
-This quote. It came from a talk called "Three Choices" and it was about life improvement stuff. I liked it. I found it at 3 in the morning; that is seriously when my best scripture study/life pondering/inspiration happens :) A little weird, but it's all good.
-Homework. Seriously, I need a reading buddy! That's all I'm going to be doing this semester, reading. Oh, and the "take these ear plugs, wear them around for a full six to eight hours and write a paper on it" experiment. I wonder how many times I am going to have to do that in my undergraduate career?? ;)

-clips from Ingrid's forthcoming album on soundcloud. Check them out, and do it daily because they take old ones down and put up a new one each day.

What makes you happy?

 7. complete the sentence, "I am..."
 primarily a student. sister. friend. hard worker. traveller. dreamer. independent. wannabe linguist and audiologist (or SLP). persistent. music junkie. money saver. loyal.
10. what do you look for in a guy?
trustworthy. fun. smart. jokester/tease/someone who makes me laugh. adventurous. someone who wants to see and travel the world with me. worthy priesthood holder. strong. someone I can geek out with! able to provide for his family. someone who speaks a foreign language. someone who likes kids and spending time with his family. someone who will surprise me at times. beautiful smile, blue or brown eyes, hair darker than mine--I don't like blondes! can't have hair that's too short. I like shaggy hair and face scruff. height isn't an issue to me. just as long as they're taller than me, and that's not hard to do! Older than me.{someone who knows how/likes to cook and/or has nieces or nephews would be bonuses! haha}

Guess what?!? Today marks 22 days until my 22nd birthday. I have always wanted to be 22. Why? I don't really know. I think when I was a little girl, I always thought that 22 was a magic age because my mom was 22 when she had me (and turned 23 four days later, ha). She also bought a house and got done with school around age 22-23. So, here's to me being 22, cheers. I probably won't have a baby, graduate from school or buy my own house this year, but I'm going to live it up every way I can :) I've got to come up with something awesome to do to celebrate. Yay! I love life and birthdays and the entire month of February :)

xoxo,
ash

ps. Words with Friends is fun. Never thought I'd like a phone/computer game. Let's play!
