why is everything funnier at 2 am?

My roommate and I went to the lib last night and when we got back at 1:30am, we sat around for awhile, too tired to actually go to sleep. Then my other roommate came downstairs and started telling us about how her cell phone got stolen. What?! She told us she realized her phone was gone before she left school at 9:30pm and looked for it for two hours before she came home. Then, her WA friends and her mom started calling her on skype and they were freaking out because some guy was calling them from her phone asking them if they spoke Spanish in Spanish and then hung up and wouldn't answer again when they called back. so some guy has her phone and he apparently speaks English but wouldn't to them. Her mom seems a little paranoid--she told her to get in her car really fast and shut the door and drive away every time she's at the school. We had a fun time acting that out and we were laughing so hard! It wasn't even that funny! Her mom also thought that Jamillie had been kidnapped and the guy was calling for ransom! lol. Then, I don't know where my brain was, and I was like, "Well is it in your car?" and they both just looked at me and were like, "Ashlie! No! The guy has it!" and we laughed a lot more!

Then my roommate that went to the library with me went upstairs and came back down and was like, "My computer's working now! I just figured out that my extension cord that was connected to my charger wasn't plugged in!" She thought that her computer had finally crapped out because it has been acting weird and making funny noises for the past couple days and it wouldn't turn on or hold a charge (obviously)! haha too funny.

Not having enough sleep does strange things for me :)

and just for fun:
"If you have a crying baby, don't be around them for too long, because that can damage your hearing!"
--guy who gave a presentation on hearing conservation in my clin. methods class this morning when referring to this OSHA diagram that talks about occupations and the need for hearing protection.

also, during these presentations, it's weird that everyone says I'm so-and-so and I'm majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Utah. Duh! You wouldn't be in a 5000-level class in the program if you weren't. and it's a class presentation--of course you are a student at the U and not a guest speaker. Maybe I just feel snarky about this because I'm so tired today!

Cross your fingers that I can find a friend to go to Ingrid with tonight! and tomorrow my capstone paper is due! woo.

xoxo,

ash
