murder mystery and Easter.

This past weekend, we did a murder mystery party for my roommate Johanna's birthday. It was super fun!

Marion and me. She was my mom in the game and now calls me Daughter. Funny. We were the only ones who had fringe-y flapper dresses :)

Group shot, minus one couple.

I was the murderer and I won best costume! Woo hoo! That was pretty cool.
Afterward, we all went to the dance that the institute was holding at the stadium tower. The view was INCREDIBLE! Seriously, such a great shot of the valley. I loved overlooking Capitol Hill (I still think that the Capitol building is one of the prettiest buildings in the state, I LOVE it!) and the temple downtown.

The view was the best part of the dance. My date was impolite and I didn't know where he was most of the time. I think he should have shown more courtesy! I felt better in this assumption when the guys in our group of buddies started saying stuff about how rude that was. Girls notice things like that, so I wasn't surprised, but when the boys started commenting, I was thinking, "okay, this is fine to be feeling this way." I was just going to leave, but my roommate Alex's date was so nice and he said that he wouldn't let me walk home (even though I live not even two blocks away) and that he would give me a ride. When we were ready to leave, I couldn't even find my date! So I felt kinda bad, but I texted him and told him I was leaving! Ugh, I was so annoyed! I felt like an imbecile for being at a date dance and not even having a date to slow dance with. and he was on his phone perpetually throughout the night. That's a huge pet peeve of mine--you should NOT text/surf/whatever on your phone on a date. So rude.
Oh well, glad that's over with :) I'm so sick of dating, by the way. I feel like a lot of dates I go on, I don't get treated as well as I should. I've been on a string of terrible dates lately--maybe I should just stop dating for a while! Or...the better option, a nice boy who shows some courtesy should ask me out. That would make me soooo happy.

Easter!
I went home to visit the fam.
Church was nice. I had a hard time with the 'remember the real reason for Easter' concept this year. I need to be better!

The Easter bunny was really good to me. I got a new outfit, candy and zinnia seeds :)

Anyway, in other news, I'm getting to crunch time mode in the semester. Soon it will be over! I can't wait! It's making me not want to take classes over the summer. (only two, but still!) I've been living for the weekends lately, to have time to get homework done as well as have some fun! I am looking forward to the bees' home opener this weekend. Well, at least i hope I can still get a ticket and that it's not too expensive! I tried to win some on the radio, but no luck. I wish some tickets would magically appear on my doorstep! Haha, I kid. Sort of ;) gotta love baseball!!

Happy spring!
Xoxoxo,

Ash
