a little update. Loving winter break!

Life is good. Yesterday, I went shopping for my sub-for-santa that I mentioned in my recent 'Gratitude' post. I picked a star off of a tree for a little girl--she is 8 years old and she wanted dress up clothes; I was all over that-- I picked out a super sparkly, fun pink princess dress and some sparkly headbands and a silver sparkly sequined purse with a heart on it! :) It's all about the sparkle! (and the pink!) I hope she enjoys it so much! I had a very fun time picking it out for her, just like I knew I would.

This past weekend, my uncle came up from E. Ut. for a visit and to deliver a special package that I can blog about after the 25th :) We spent some time downtown. We ate at a way yummy Mexican place and looked at Christmas lights. His girlfriend and her little girl came along too, so it was fun getting to know them better too.

My best friend's boyfriend got back from Canada after being gone for two years. I am so so happy for her! I am a little sad though, because now I feel like I'll hardly ever see her. We'll just have to double!

I am loving being out of school and I have work today and tomorrow and then will be done with that until after the first of the year. I feel like I may get bored, so I've been trying to come up with stuff to do to keep busy, both things I need to do and want to do:
-clean my room (much needed!) haha
-go skiing and/or snowboarding at Snowbasin! I haven't been in sooo long
-spend some time out of town with family
-go on some dates
-read
-job hunt
-go horseback riding
-have a blast on new years!
-make my annual trip to Mimi's Cafe
-possibly go to midnight mass at a Catholic church on Christmas Eve, just to check it out. Not to mention, Catholic churches are beautiful and I love the detail that is put into most of them that I've seen.  I've wanted to do this pretty much since I spent three years in Catholic school, but I don't want to go alone :S
-eat at a taco stand downtown
-throw a fancy dinner party
-get apple cider from starbucks and walk around the gateway
still haven't done these last last three and they were on my holiday bucket list I wrote about a while ago. haha

What fun things are you guys doing this week?

xoxo

ps One of these years when I am done with school, I WILL be spending Christmas in New York City. I cannot wait, this has been on the to-do list since my jr year of high school :)
